Unfortunately the travel club were leaving at 0700 and the last train from Edinburgh to Inverness to arrive in time for the game was 0933. Not much the SFL can do about the trains but surely some consideration for the punters. 0930 duly arrived the travel club had stopped at Stirling to await the result but lo the referee was running late. The inspection was put back to 1030 then 1130 and the game at that point called off.

Overnight temperatures in Inverness were expected to reach -10 and given under soil heating generally only works to -8 would it have been such a long punt to put the game off?

Unfortunately supporters continue to be seen to be a necessary evil by those that wear the blazers.
