The way that the establishment have circled the wagons this week has been quite amazing. Discussions have moved away from the fact that Celtic were cheated at Dundee Utd and that Broadfoot dived whilst the ref had his back turned, and into a vitriolic attack on the audacity of Celtic to write questioning a decision. Sometimes, against best advice, and perhaps even knowing you’re fighting a losing cause, you have to stand up and make a stand about what’s right. Both last season and this Celtic have done that and been vilified.
In all of this remember one thing – the SFA have form. Fergus McCann stood up for Celtic over the Jorge Cadette affair. The press criticised and mocked. The outcome, Celtic’s position was upheld and Farry had to go.
And now we have the Dougie McDonald affair. We have been vilified for demanding an answer but as a consequence we have seen Hugh Dallas all over the press with one story and an enquiry confirming something completely different. Currently the wagons are being circled again…
But as you know this is the betting part of the site so let’s look at the odds and stats;

So following our letters of complaint our concerns have been justified to some extent although a review of the observer’s report for the utd game illustrates that they didn’t think the handballs were pens. We should get these people to referee our European games. We’d have drawn with Lyon, beaten Moscow, not had a penalty saved against Man Utd etc etc
This inability to referee football in Scotland like the rest of Europe best illustrated this week. On Sunday Miller scores despite being yards offside (in Scottish rules) because he only became active in the second phase of play. On Wednesday a Celtic player is given offside when yds on AND a Celtic player is given offside when BEHIND the keeper and not active.
Our appeals should just keep coming because sometimes you just have to fight for what’s right.
