I’m assuming we would be unseeded and the likely seeded teams will be from Russia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Portugal and either Turkey or Greece.
If we get past this stage we can then look at a 4th qualifier against one of the following:
England – Man City or Spurs or Liverpool or Villa
Spain – Mallorca or Sevilla
Italy – Sampdoria or Palermo
Germany – Werder Bremen or Bayer Leverkusen or Borussia Dortmund
France – Auxerre or Lille or Montpelier or Lyon or Bordeaux
As domestic leagues across Europe come to their end over the next couple of weeks the representatives of each country in the two qualifying rounds will become clearer.
We already know from the lists of teams above that reaching the Group Stage is going to be a tough task.
